He is responsible for adjusting, assembling and checking composite parts, which are increasingly used in aircraft construction for their greater lightness and resistance.

In production, it follows, according to given plans and procedures, a manufacturing range. The adjuster must choose the appropriate tools to assemble, glue and assemble parts made of composite materials (such as carbon fibers, kevlar, etc.). He must sometimes perform machining work (such as drilling, riveting) or heat treatment. He is also responsible for the development of what has been assembled and its maintenance.
In maintenance, he performs the operations necessary to repair defective elements.

Golden rules

The adjuster must be skillful, meticulous, precise and careful. He must also be able to carry heavy loads.

Working conditions

The work takes place mainly in the workshop, but the adjuster may have to work on a site.
Its schedules are either administrative or in teams (2×8, 3×8 …).
The conditions are nonetheless restrictive due to the dust and odors given off when working on these materials.
